Rhythmic Soles Dance Academy offers exciting Preschool programs, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Pointe, Hip Hop, Boy's Classes, Adult Classes And More!!



Tiny Toes | Age 3
This introduction to dance will develop important motor skills, music appreciation and creative movement. Props and stories will be used to stimulate imagination and creativity. Children will learn listening skills, how to take turns, work with partners and develop important social skills in a group setting. A warm nurturing yet disciplined environment will ensure enjoyment for all.

Taught once a week for 30 min

Exploring Dance | Age 4 ...
Through song, rhymes and games, basic musicality and movement skills are explored in this introductory dance class. Creative movement skills and co-ordination are developed as well as enhancing imagination. Children also learn to follow directions from someone other than a parent as well as socialization skills.

Taught once a week for 40 min.
*Ballet and Tap shoes required

Creative Dance | Age 4 & 5 ...
This class continues working on the elements of Creative Movement through stories and props, but now introduces basic ballet technique at the barre and in the centre. Children will learn about musical phrasing, ballet terminology and classroom etiquette all in a fun yet disciplined environment that will build self confidence in your little ballerina.

Taught once a week for 45 min.

Kindercombo | Age 5 ...
This fun filled class is an extension of Exploring Dance. The children are now ready for more coordinated combinations of steps and movements. Our focus is to increase body awareness, technique and memory. More emphasis is placed on tempo and musical timing. Children begin to learn the basic movements for ballet, jazz and tap in this unique and popular format. The concepts will prepare students for the following year when they graduate to Pre-Primary Ballet, Jazz and Tap

Taught once a week for 45min

Hippity Hop | Age 5 & 6 ...
This high energy class is an excellent way for young children to learn the hippest dance moves. It's fun, cool, great exercise that develops rhythm, co ordination and motor skills while improving kids' confidence. If your child loves movin' and groovin' have him/her hippity hop into this dance class.

Recreational and Competitive Classes for 6yrs & up

Ballet
Ballet is the basis of all dance therefore it is recommended for all students to improve technique, strength, flexibility and grace for a well rounded dancer. Dancers who train in ballet become stronger Jazz and Tap Dancers.

Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Program:
The R.A.D. is based in London, England and is the largest examining and teacher organization for ballet in the world. The RAD syllabus is versatile offering excellent training for both the recreational and pre-professional ballet student. Classes are structured using a syllabus of age appropriate steps and exercises beginning with Pre-primary ballet age 5-6, Primary ballet age 6-7 and then progressing to grades 1-8 aged 7&up.

Pre-Pointe/Pointe Classes:
For students participating in a minimum of 3 ballet classes per week and are sufficiently strong in their technique. Students wishing to go "en-pointe" must be recommended by the ballet teacher.

Jazz
Find that rhythm inside yourself! While following the influence of the great choreographers and teachers of the past and present, today's jazz dance is always changing and always unique reflecting the current times as well as the past. Jazz classes follow the ADAPT syllabus and focus on technique, rhythm, isolations, combinations, leaps, turns, terminology and explore various jazz styles.

Tap
Tap dancing is a technique consisting of footwork and the expression of rhythm through sound. Classes follow the ADAPT syllabus and focus on technique, timing, coordination, rhythms and terminology.

Hip Hop
Hip Hop was born on the streets and first started with break dancing. There are many styles of Hip Hop. Get funky with the latest craze and the coolest moves. Elements of poppin’, lockin’ and breakin’ will be explored.

Modern
This contemporary dance form derives from many dance forms with its roots in ballet. Exploring movement capabilities through innovative floor work and progressions gives each dancer a better understanding of their body. Students will learn the elementary concepts of contract and release as well as other principals of Modern Dance. Special focus is placed on improvisation, composition and partnering. Recommended for all competitive dancers.

Lyrical
Lyrical dancing combines Ballet and Jazz techniques. Dancers learn to express the mood or theme of music through fluid movement while focusing on control and flexibility. Recommended for all competitive dancers.

Musical Theatre
An excellent class to develop stage presence. Students have fun by incorporating dance, acting, voice or lip sync, gestures and facial expressions into routines inspired by songs, musicals and movies.



Combo Classics Curriculum

The Combo Classics program is designed for students who would like to begin their passion for dance. RSDA provides students with the highest quality dance training allowing young dancers to reach their fullest potential. The program incorporates the fundamental teachings of three different disciplines: Ballet, Jazz and Tap. Additional classes may be added to the program as per age.

Rec 1 and Rec 2 Combo Classic | Boys & Girls
